Virginia Agnes Franzago, known by many as Ginny, was born February 17, 1942, and went to her heavenly home on January 10, 2024 at the age of 81. Ginny was born in Nebraska to Gaspar and Theresa (Beresch) Kuti. She attended and graduated from Creighton University and St. Catherine’s School of Nursing. Ginny was passionate about being a nurse and especially loved working in the Neonatal unit. She met the love of her life Frank in Omaha, Nebraska and they married in 1974.
They moved to Sacramento, California in 1977. In California she had the
opportunity to be instrumental in opening the Pediatric Neonatal Unit at the Sutter Children’s Hospital. Ginny loved the mountains and speed of the ski-slopes and had many fun stories to share about her adventures in skiing and racing. As she slowed down later in life, she loved a good competitive game of golf or dominos. She was a devout Catholic as a member of St. Mel
Parish and loved to share her faith.
Ginny is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years Frank Franzago; parents Gaspar and Theresa Kuti; brother Joseph Kuti and sister Therese (Kuti) Way.
Ginny’s life will be celebrated and remembered by her son Tony and wife Risa and their daughter Mara, stepdaughter Tracy and husband Bill and her son Cody (and wife Dana), and
stepdaughter Sandy; many cousins, nieces and nephews, and her brothers and sisters in Christ
at St. Mel Perish in Fair Oaks California.
