Simeon Reyes Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully
on December 28, 2024, Sacramento, CA at the age of 95. Born on November 21, 1929, in Hawaii, Simeon
was the seventh of twelve children. He received his education in Hawaii’s schools before continuing his
studies at a California college.

Simeon proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of MSGT before
honorably concluding his service. Following his military career, he found fulfilling employment at McGeorge
School of Law.

In 1952, Simeon married the love of his life, Elena(Helen) Rodriguez, and together they built a beautiful
life and family. He leaves behind three cherished children: Elaine Polk, Paul Reyes, and Gregory
Reyes; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was also a cherished uncle to a host
of nieces and nephews, with whom he maintained close and loving relationships until his final days.

Even at 95, Simeon remained remarkably active and engaged in life. He was a dedicated member of the
Knights of Columbus, enjoyed regular poker games with his close friends, and delighted in visits to the
casino. His zest for life and unwavering spirit were an inspiration to all who knew him.

Above all, Simeon treasured his family and instilled in them the importance of the “Reyes Family Legacy,” a
phrase he often repeated with pride. This legacy, built on love, faith, and strong family bonds, will continue to
live on through the generations he leaves behind.

Simeon’s life was a testament to a life well-lived, filled with love, service, and unwavering commitment to
family and friends. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his kind heart, unwavering spirit, and
the enduring legacy he leaves behind.
