Sigfredo Montoya
- June 11, 1980 ~ May 12, 2026
Sigfredo “Bubba” Montoya was born on June 11, 1980, in Sacramento, California, to Gloria De La Cruz and Sigfredo Montoya Sr. He passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and those who meant the most to him.
To know Bubba was to know strength. He was a fighter in every sense of the word, and that is how everyone will always remember him. Through every challenge life placed before him, Bubba faced it with courage, determination, and heart. His strength inspired so many people, and his presence brought comfort, laughter, and love to everyone around him.
Bubba meant so much to everybody who knew him. He had a way of making people feel cared for, valued, and loved. There could never be another like him, and his loss leaves a space in our hearts that can never truly be filled.
Bubba was a true music junkie who loved singing and sharing videos of himself performing songs for his nieces, always bringing laughter and joy to those around him. He cherished spending time with family and friends and had a creative spirit that showed through his love of writing short stories. Bubba proudly self-published three books on Amazon, leaving behind pieces of his imagination and heart for others to enjoy.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Ballesteros; his father, Sigfredo Montoya Sr.; his stepfather, Victor Carrillo; and his beloved niece, Leticia Castaneda. He is now reunited with countless loved ones.
He is survived by his loving siblings Rosemary (Rafael), Albert, Angelica, Christina (Jim), Ramona (Hugo), Alfredo, and Carlos, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other loving family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Although our hearts are broken, we find peace knowing Bubba is now resting peacefully alongside our mom and other precious loved ones who went before him.
He will be forever missed, forever loved, and forever remembered.
“I love you, brother.”
