Rosetta Marie Viscuso (Caleca) Born August 4, 1922 reunited with her family on March 18, 2023. Rosetta was the last of her generation and represented the end of an era. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Peter Caleca, sisters Josephine Medich and Marie Spencer, and brother Vito.
She will be forever loved and missed by her two boys Steven and Richard (Betty), two grandchildren Melissa and Geno, and many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Sacramento, Rose was a graduate of Sacramento High School and a 28-year retiree from Pacific Bell. In her early years, Rosetta was actively involved with St. Mary’s Italian Church, various activities with Sacramento High School, and after school activities with Doposcuola Italiano Sezione Oak Park.
In her retirement years, Rose was active with the Altar Society, the Over 50 Club, the Social Club, and played an untold number of bingo games at local halls. She loved going on her daily walks around the neighborhood. Family was always her highest priority followed by her friends. She loved cooking delicious food for her family and was always planning the next family gathering.
Rose was always beautifully dressed for any occasion or none at all; styled hair, makeup, and jewelry were always part of her ensemble. Not to mention her nails that were always painted a shade of pink. She loved anything girly, which showed through her daily attire.
