Roberto Palma

“Papito” Roberto Palma, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, and uncle passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 85 in Sacramento, California.  He was a man of faith, a devout Catholic, kind and caring. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and boxing, listening to music and dancing, watching movies, camping and having fun with family and friends.

He was born in Managua, Nicaragua.  He is preceded in death by his parents Roberto Palma and Emma Gutierrez Bone, his beloved wife of 65 years, Juana Emelina and dear daughter Regina de Los Angeles Baltodano.

He is survived by his children Maria José Palma, Martha Patricia Soto (Oscar), son-in-law Rene Baltodano, Anita Palma-Raya (Javier), Antonieta Bendaña (Martin), Claudia Quinn (Keith), and his only son, Robert Palma (Natalie), 20 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, sisters Yolanda Serpas and Nena Perez (Manuel) and brother-in-law Gustavo Useda (Paquita).

Vigil will be held on Wednesday, June 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at St. Rose Catholic Church, 5961 Franklin Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95824.  Mass on Thursday, June 13 at 12:00 noon at St. Rose Catholic Church, 5961 Franklin Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95824. Funeral immediately after at St. Mary Cemetery & Funeral Services, 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA 95820.
