Richard Charles Wilhelms

Richard Charles Wilhelms was born 5-24-35. He died 12-28-25. He was 90 years old.

Services will be at Divine savior Catholic Church on Thursday January 8, 2026. A visitation prior to the Mass starts at 10:00 am., Mass at 10:30 am. A gravesite internment will be at 12:00 noon at Calvary Cemetery in Citrus Heights.  In lieu of flowers please donate to your local food bank, keeping in mind Richard had a sweet tooth. 

Richard is survived by a beloved family consisting of 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grand children. He is also survived by his sister, 2 brother in laws and a sister in law as well as 2 nieces. His wife of nearly 62 years, Carol Edith (Dean) Wilhelms passed away in 2020. 

He was born in Trona Ca. Growing up in the desert gave him a life long love of the outdoors. He experienced the outdoors in the air thru flying sail planes, the wilderness thru backpacking, camping and fishing. He enjoyed the roads thru motorcycles and fast cars. He was an avid photographer. 

Richard retired as an engineering geologist for the state of CA. If you have driven over any bridge in CA… he was most likely involved with it at sometime.
