Renee Louise Toirac (1946-2022)
Renee Toirac, was born to Carlos and Imelda Toirac on July 2, 1946. Renee graduated from Bishop Armstrong high school and CSUS. She worked for the State of California, then went into the US State Department’s Foreign Service as an embassy officer, where she worked in D.C., Venezuela and Spain. Family was very important to her, so when her mother became ill, she returned to Sacramento to care for her. Renee then resumed her state career as a manager over a contracts unit. She was addicted to the news and world events. She loved fantasy and science fiction books & movies and was also a voracious reader. Renee was a big fan of opera and ballet. She enjoyed paper crafting, and making special occasion cards for family and friends. She battled leukemia for the past 8 months and succumbed on October 2, 2022. She was predeceased by her parents and brother Dennis. She leaves behind her brother Ronnie, her niece Keira (Curtis), her great nieces Audrey and Lily, many cousins, and friends. Her memorial service will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery and Funeral Center, 6509 Fruitridge Road in Sacramento. The service will be held Friday, October 28 from 2:00-3:00 pm in the chapel. At 3:00 pm there will be a short ceremony where Renee’s remains will be placed in a niche next to her mother and brother. The reception will immediately follow in the dinning hall next to the chapel.
