Raul Fernandez Roux

Raul Fernandez Roux, 68, unexpectedly passed away on April 15, 2026. He was born on January 16, 1958 in Pangasinan, Philippines and later migrated to California, United states of America in 1977 with his mother and father, 10 siblings, 3 nieces, and 1 nephew.. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Grace Polido Roux, to whom he has been married to for 22 years. They had one child named Mayra Polido Roux who was born in December of 2005.

He was an extremely hard worker because he never wanted his family to struggle. His longest place of employment was with the United States Postal Office, with most of those years being at the Colonial location. He loved going to work ‘That’s my exercise!’ is what he’d always say, which is why he’s always put off retiring. At the Colonial office, he is loved by everyone, The General, is what they’d call him. He comes into work with a positive attitude everyday and will crack jokes and smile at everyone. Raul was well loved at his work place.

When Raul wasn’t working you’d find him at the gym or in his garden at home, or even going around the house to find what needs repair. He enjoyed keeping himself busy, even on his days off of work. He especially loved working on his 1993 Toyota Corolla, which he called his Mercedes Benz. At night is when he finally settles down and takes the time to fully relax. His total relaxation involved coming into the house to take a shower and having an avocado shake and a snack while watching TV before dinner time.

Raul lived a simple and fulfilling life. Everything he’s done is because he’s enjoyed doing it, “Relax, enjoy, you only live once” was his motto. Raul Fernandez Roux will continue to be loved by all of those who have been around him.

Memorial services will be held at St Mary’s Funeral & Cemetery Services on April 29th and 30th, 2026. April 29th will be the viewing from 5pm-8pm and April 30th will be the mass and burial, followed by a reception.
