Rachel E. Duran

3/6/1943 – 4/21/2025

Rachel E. Duran went to Heaven at 82 years old on April 21, 2025. She was born March 6, 1943 in Roseville, CA to Annie Marquez and was the oldest of 7 siblings; Mary, Pat, Bobby, Susie, Isabel, and Tessie. Rachel was the loving Bride of Richard Duran for 63 years. They have 4 children; Michele (Shahn), Lisa (Jim), Steven, Dan (Heather), 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Rachel graduated from Roseville High School in 1961 and soon married the love of her life who was stationed in France with the US Air Force. As a young bride of 19 years old, Rachel did not want to fly to meet him there, so she took the very last passenger train ever to leave out of Roseville Depot to board a passenger ship in New York crossing the Atlantic to her final destination.

Because of Richard’s service in the military, the family moved over 12 times to destinations within and outside of the US. Each time Rachel would create a loving home to raise her children. Rachel will always be remembered for her HUGE heart, her beautiful smile, and the loving ways she would share her love with others. Her passion for family, friends, music, cooking and her faith in God blessed many of her loved ones.

Services: June 2nd, St. Rose of Lima Church, 615 Vine Avenue, Roseville, CA. The rosary begins at 9:30 am and the service will start at 10 am. followed by a reception in the church hall.
