Paula Kathleen Badella

Paula was born on August 20, 1960, the third daughter of George (Bill) and Joanne Badella.  She attended St. Charles Elementary School and Bishop Manogue High School.  She graduated from Sacramento State University with a BA and MA in Accounting, and an MA in Business Law.  She was the controller for the Arcade Water District for several years before being employed by the Sacramento County Water Resource Department (SCWRD) until her death.

Paula so loved her children Katie and Kevin, and she had a very special place in her heart for her granddaughter, Riley. Meticulous attention to detail was her hallmark, whether she was updating her interior spaces or designing her extensive backyard retreat.

Paula thoroughly enjoyed her years with SCWRD and valued the many relationships she established with her coworkers.

Paula was preceded by her father, George (Bill).

She is survived by her daughter, Katie; son, Kevin; granddaughter, Riley; mother, Joanne; sisters Rose (John), Julie (Scott), Denise (Dave), and brother, Bill (Angie).  Paula is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and by her Uncle Lou and Aunt Jane.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Funeral Center, with internment and reception to follow.
