Patricia Mae Marland
- November 20, 1941 - July 13, 2026
Patricia Mae Marland was born in Boston MA to the late William Henry and Edna Georgina (Lundgren) Schroth. She was predeceased by her beloved husband William Marland, her parents, her brother Bill and his wife Karin, and her niece Teresa. She is survived by her daughters Jena and Rachel, her grandchildren Brandon, Wesley, Scarlet and Spencer; her niece Maria (Bill), her sister-in-law Dee (Arnie), and a lifelong group of cherished friends.
Pat met her husband Bill of 50 years in Sacramento and followed him around the world during his Air Force career. They traveled extensively throughout Asia before settling in Carmichael in 1973. Once settled, Pat started what became a long and successful real estate career which brought her immense pleasure and pride. She loved helping people and many of her clients became lifelong friends.
Pat was impeccably stylish and elegant. She was unusually beautiful and even as she aged, she took great pride in her appearance. She loved traveling, especially with Bill. She loved exploring new places, dining out and she always enjoyed a good glass of wine! Kauai was particularly special to Pat; she and Bill went there annually- it was their happy place. Pat was an avid shopper- whether for herself or finding the perfect gift for a friend family member. She always made gifts special with her thoughtfulness. Pat maintained a beautiful home; we often said “good decoratin”. She loved to garden- her backyard is a sanctuary with gorgeous plants, flowers, magical wind chimes and hummingbird feeders.
Although Pat is and will forever be missed, especially by her daughters, we know that she is with our dad- the love of her life- her harn (their special, silly term). Our dad used to say to her “we live a charmed life”. They truly did! She has missed him terribly since he passed in 2013 so their reunion makes our hearts happy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 29 at the Calvary Mausoleum Chapel, 7101 Verner Ave., Citrus Heights, CA 95621.
