Olga Juanita Rillera

Olga Juanita (Jeni) Rillera, born August 21, 1939, in Los Angeles California to Simon and Consuelo Fuentes, passed away on June 16, 2024 in Sacramento, California. She was married to her husband Loreto Rick Rillera for 64 years. A devoted Catholic Christian, Olga was mother to three children, nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Olga graduated from Mater Dei High School (Santa Ana, California) and received an associate of arts degree from Santa Ana College. Olga enjoyed a long career in public health with the County of Orange. She had close and long-term friends that went back to her high school days. She loved family and spending time nurturing and watching them grow up. She loved music, going to Catholic Mass, and spending time cultivating new friendships.

In 2002, Olga, Rick, and her son Larry traveled on a pilgrimage to Fatima, Medjugorje, Lourdes, and other places in Italy and the Vatican. This experience enhanced her faith and had a lasting impression on her life and on her relationships.

In 2005, she and Rick left Orange County and moved to Sacramento, California. In Sacramento, she found new groups, people, and events that enhanced her lifelong yearning to grow her mind and her faith. She became part of the Our Lady of Assumption parish and was active in several groups such as People Enjoying Retirement Together (PERT) and enjoyed Knights of Columbus events with Rick and their grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024. St. Joseph’s Chapel – Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am and Committal at 11:00 am at Saint Mary Cemetery & Funeral Hiome, 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA 95820. All are welcome to attend.
