Nancy Ann (Nicks) Baldwin
- May 30, 1938 – December 14, 2025
Born in Chicago, Illinois, and passing in Citrus Heights, California, Nancy will be remembered for her warmth, her dedication to family and marriage, and her gift for building lasting friendships.
Nancy was the devoted wife of the late Thomas Baldwin, her husband of 68 years. They were high school sweethearts who grew up blocks apart in Chicago and, together, built a life centered around family. Wherever Tom’s work brought them Chicago, St. Louis, Sacramento, Alameda, Seattle, and Penn Valley-Nancy happily created a comfortable and welcoming home for all who visited. She quickly made friends with new neighbors and formed many long-lasting friendships that became an essential part of her life.
She will be greatly missed by so many, including her children: Sharon McKelvie, Suzanne Jennings, Jeanine (Mike) Thomas, Tom Baldwin, and Michelle (Gregg) Ellis; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Nancy enjoyed sewing and baking, often sharing her talents with family and friends. She was especially known for her Christmas cookies and her love of celebrating holidays. Nancy loved amusement parks and never met a roller coaster she didn’t enjoy.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Kathryn Nicks; her sister, Mary Strampel; and her brothers, Kenneth, Richard, Julian, Grover, and Merle.
