Myrtle Coons Bogdan

Myrtle Coons Bogdan, born December 28, 1931, passed away April 13, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of warmth, dedication, and love. Raised in the Sunset District of San Francisco, Myrtle carried the spirit of her community with her throughout her life.
She devoted over 30 years of service to the San Francisco Unified School District, where her kindness, commitment, and bright smile made a lasting impact on colleagues and students alike. Myrtle had a gift for making people feel welcome—her smile could light up any room.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Greta Coons, her sister Margaret Coons and her beloved husband, Jim Bogdan.
Myrtle is survived by her loving children, Michael Bogdan and Liz Clark; her grandson, Brad Bogdan (Hayley); and her two cherished great-grandsons, Arlo and Eli Bogdan. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in each generation.
Myrtle will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her enduring kindness, and the love she shared so freely. She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward with deep affection and gratitude.
