Minerva (Minnie) Jimenez

Minnie Jimenez, age 98, died peacefully in her sleep February 24th surrounded by family and friends.  Minnie is survived by her, daughter Evelyn Escobar-Borba, son Edward Escobar, grandsons Martin Gutierrez, Thomas Romero, Lenny Romero Jr., great-granddaughter Chloe Gutierrez, and great-grandsons Henry Romero and George Romero.  Minnie is preceded in death by her husband Ted Jimenez, daughter Olivia Romero, son Ted Jimenez Jr., and grandson Nicholas Escobar.

Minnie was born in Del Paso, Texas and started working at the Campbell’s Soup Plant in Sacramento in 1956 where she met her husband Ted.  She retired in 1986 after 30 years of service. Minnie enjoyed volunteering with charitable and church organizations and spending time with her family.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 at St. Mary’s Chapel at 2:00pm.   The St. Mary Cemetery and Funeral Center is located at 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA 95820.
