Mercedes Castro (Aldan)

On December 07, 2022, Mercedes Castro (Aldan) known as Merced/Sked (familian Kan) from San Antonio, Saipan CNMI  was called by our eternal father at the age of 85 years old. She was married to Jesus Mafnas Aldan together they had 16 children. Mercedes was born and raised in Saipan, lived in Guam and later moved to California to spend time with her family. Her family in California was blessed to spend her last days with Mercedes.

Despite her large family Mercedes always made time for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family.

Mercedes was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother. She cared deeply for her family and neighbors. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer help. She openly welcomed family, friends, and strangers into her home. She always ensured that every person who crossed her threshold was safe, healthy, and happy.

Mercedes was influenced by her faith, family and culture to be a loving and caring person. She always shared her time and love with her huge family. She dedicated her whole life to her children. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children and family.

Throughout her life, Mercedes was a devout Catholic. She lead her family in faith and was a constant reminder of how there is power in prayer. She was the matriarch of her family and will be dearly missed. It gives her family great comfort knowing she is at peace in heaven.

She is survived by her sons, daughters, their spouses children, and numerous grandchildren.
