Melody Robin Tipton

Melody (Robin) Tipton, age 68, was born in Fort Worth on September 24, 1956. Robin traveled to Heaven on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in Crescent City, California. She is the daughter of the late Rosemary and Harry Breech. Robin is survived by her husband Michael, her brother Paul Breech, her three children Amie (Ronald), Kristy, Michael (Shellie), her 11 grandchildren, and her three great grand kids.

Because their father was in the military, Robin and her brother were able to move around a lot. Among the places she and her family lived were Washington, Texas, Germany, Sacramento, and Crescent City in California. Every summer, Harry and Rosemary would take a trip to Crescent City, California, a destination they had discovered.

Robin married Michael Tipton in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada, on November 14, 1981. She was a warrior who overcame breast cancer at the age of 58. Her and her husband, Michael Tipton, relocated the same year from Sacramento, California to Crescent City, making it their permanent home, where they lived a relaxing retirement life on the lovely northern coast with their dog Katie.

Together they raised three children: Amie, Kristy and Mike. Robin and her husband continued adventures camping with their children at Dillons Beach and Collins Lake. If they were not camping they were taking trips to Alaska and Hawaii. Years later, their family grew rapidly with grandchildren; Ronald, Andru, Bella, Lanaeya, Nati, Hector, Aaliyah, Angeles, Callie, Jaxon and Dominic. Robin also became a great grandmother to three of Ronald’s children: Zayla Mae, RJ and Myles. She consistently kept tabs on each grandchild via text messaging, social media and FaceTime (which was her favorite).

Robin was dedicated to attending all of her grandchildren’s soccer games, dance concerts, cheerleading competitions, and basketball games.

Her happy place was Disneyland. You could find her at every food stand, eating skewers, corndogs, and chimichangas. Beignets were also a favorite; she knew exactly where to get them and that Jazz Kitchen had the tastiest. Food was her specialty. Robin liked receiving photographs of other people’s food: go to the spaghetti factory and send her a picture of your dish. She adored her family above anything.

All of us will miss you Grandma Robin. Give a big hug to Grandma
