Mary Ellen Capper

Mary Ellen Capper, age 86, of Grass Valey, Ca, passed away on May 12, 2025.  She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend.  Mary Ellen (McFadden) Capper is survived by daughter Laura (David Blum), son James Capper, daughter Elizabeth Cavanaugh, grandchildren,  Jaclyn Bouey, Jessica (Kyle Turner), Jared Capper, Austin Capper, Christopher Whitehead, Shane Cavanaugh (Sarah), Cole Cavanaugh, and a great grandchild Jane Bouey.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and four of her siblings.

Mary proudly served as a bookkeeper/secretary for the Sacramento Metro Fire District.

In her free time, Mary Ellen enjoyed playing golf, bridge, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.  She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Grass Valley..

A funeral service will be held at Calvary Cemetery and Funeral Center on Thursday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m., followed by internment at Calvary Cemetery at Noon.  7100 Verner Ave., Citrus Heights, CA  95621
