Marsha Ann Scott

Marsha Ann (King) Scott passed away in Sacramento, CA on Saturday, March 7, 2026.   She was born the only child of Alfred and Rose (Morris) King in Sacramento, CA, on March 2, 1942. She attended Bishop Armstrong High School and spent summer vacations in Santa Cruz. She was crowned a Portuguese Princess in her teenage years and attended Sacramento City College where she met and married Clyde Scott in 1962. They settled in the Greenhaven/Pocket area and had two children, Doug and Stacy.  Marsha volunteered for the Mercy Hospital Guild for over 40 years, was an Election Poll Coordinator, a Brownie Leader, and a Little League Team Mom.   She was also a talented seamstress who  sewed and designed her family’s clothes.  Marsha worked as an assistant for Werner Dillier’s Insurance Investment Agency and then as a Clerk in the insurance department for the City of Sacramento Unified School District prior to retiring.

Marsha and Clyde enjoyed their retirement years traveling and going on cruises with friends; spending time at their cabin in South Lake Tahoe; and doting on their four grandchildren, Connor, Christian, Jacob and Allison.  Marsha was an avid baseball fan and loved to watch her grandsons and the River Cats play.  She also loved to visit Stacy’s family and made attending their activities and special occasions a priority.

Marsha enjoyed shopping and finding a great deal by collecting coupons and could usually be seen in an outfit that matched from head to toe.  However, she will be remembered most for ALWAYS wanting to gather everyone together for a picture.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Marsha touched are invited to the viewing on Friday, March 20 at 4:30 pm and a Rosary beginning at 5:30 pm at St. Mary’s Cemetery  – St. Joseph Chapel, 6509 Fruitridge Rd, Sacramento, CA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 32890 S River Rd, Clarksburg, CA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy McMahon Terrace, 3865 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95816, where Marsha spent her last years.
