Marlon Sandico
- August 6, 1978 ~ June 18, 2026
We celebrate the life of Marlon Sandico, who passed away on June 18, 2026, at the age of 47. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will remain in our hearts forever.
Marlon was born on August 6, 1978, in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines, to Aurora Sandico and the late Rudy-Raymond Sandico. He was the fourth of six children, joining his siblings Jennifer, Jeanette, Francis, Rocky, and Judilyn. Growing up in a close-knit family, Marlon learned the values of love, humility, loyalty, and hard work. Losing his father at the age of 28 deepened his appreciation for family.
At age 12, Marlon immigrated to the United States with his family. He graduated from Pinole Valley High School in 1996, attended San Francisco State University, and later worked for PG&E before joining Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, where he was respected for his professionalism and compassion.
In February 2004, everything changed when he met Christine Macero. What began as a chance meeting blossomed into a beautiful love story. They were married on June 27, 2008, and together built a life filled with cherished memories in San Francisco, Santa Rosa, and eventually Sacramento.
Their greatest blessing arrived with the birth of their son, Lorenzo (“Enzo”), on May 15, 2015. Being Enzo’s dad was Marlon’s greatest joy. Sharing a love for basketball, practiced with him and encouraged him to always do his best. One of his proudest moments was seeing Enzo receive his team’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
Marlon found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a passion for cars and took pride in keeping his own car clean and well-maintained. A proud Kapampangan, he also loved cooking and often surprised Christine with home-cooked meals, earning him the affectionate nickname “Chef Lonnie.” He enjoyed road trips, fishing, and going on new adventures with his family, creating memories wherever they went.
If you knew Marlon, you knew how much he loved sports. He was a lifelong fan of the Golden State Warriors and the San Francisco 49ers, and following his teams was more than a hobby—it was part of who he was. His love for sports was contagious, and he loved talking sports with anyone willing to join the conversation.
Above all, Marlon will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, beloved son, caring brother, proud uncle, and loyal friend who showed his love not through grand gestures but through the way he cared for those around him.
