Manuel Vieira Furao

April 2, 1929 – March 16, 2025

Manuel Vieira Furao, born April 2, 1929 – March 16, 2025, passed away peacefully at home in Sacramento, California at the age of 95. Born in Ilhavo, Portugal.

Manuel is proceeded in death by his wife Maria Conceicao Furao and son Casmiro Furao.

He is also proceeded in death by his sisters Rosa Casal, Maria Morgado, Augusta Furao, and brother Casamiro Furao all in Ilhavo, Portugal.

Manuel is survived by his daughter Mary Jo Furao-Chew (Tom) and son Tony Furao (Cathy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in California and Portugal.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and may his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.

We find comfort in knowing that Dad’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared and the memories we will cherish forever.

He was a member of the Sacramento Portuguese Holy Spirit Society and Our Lady of Fatima #1.

A funeral service will be held at St. Mary Cemetery & Funeral Center located at 6509 Fruitridge Rd Sacramento, CA 95820 on April 7, 2025, 9:00 a.m. with Viewing and Mass followed by the Committal service.
