Lynne Marie Zahnley

November 29, 1944 – August 1, 2025

Lynne M. Zahnley, 80, of Carmichael, California, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025. She was born November 29, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois. Lynne worked in banking before enrolling full-time in college in her 50’s, earning a Master’s Degree in Psychology. She was employed as a Mediator for Family Court Services, Sacramento County, for 20 years, retiring at age 78. She enrolled in many cooking classes and enjoyed baking a variety of breads and desserts for her colleagues and friends. She is survived by her sister, Maureen, daughter, Gina, and great-granddaughter, Aleya. Graveside services will be held on September 24, 2025, 10:00 am at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Citrus Heights. Charitable donations may be made in Lynne’s honor to the Parents and Families Program, California State University at Sacramento, providing young families with resources to improve their opportunities with higher education.
