Luciana Morales Sosa

Morales Sosa, lovingly known as Lucy, was born on January 7th, 1939, in Santa Maria de Oro, Durango, Mexico. She leaves behind 3 sons, Luis G. Morales, Andres Morales Vasquez, and Oscar H. Morales. She was an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother to all her grandchildren.

Lucy came to the U.S in 1956, where she resided in El Paso, Texas, and Torrance, California before settling in Sacramento, California in 1972. She held many jobs, from being a housekeeper, working in tomato fields, and then finally working in the food service industries at Pops Corner Café for 25 years. Lucy loved cooking and baking for her loved ones and anyone who entered her home. She would also cater for big events and she was famous for so many of her dishes.

Lucy loved to travel, go to casinos, and spend time with her family. In 2008 she became an American citizen and was extremely proud of this accomplishment. Lucy was a loving, kind, and generous mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be truly missed by all.
