In Loving Memory of Loreta Dulay
April 15, 1965 – June 15, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, aunt, family member, and dear friend, Loreta Dulay, who peacefully entered eternal rest on June 15, 2026, after a courageous 21-year battle with cancer. Throughout her journey, Loreta demonstrated remarkable strength, resilience, grace, and unwavering faith in God. She was 61 years old.
Loreta was born on April 15, 1965, in the Philippines to her loving parents, Violanta Dulay and Pablo Dulay. In 1992, she immigrated to California in pursuit of a brighter future. Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, she built a life she was proud of. She worked in both the banking and grocery industries, eventually achieving the dream of homeownership and creating a home that welcomed family and friends with warmth and love.
Loreta was known by everyone as the life of the party. Her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, generous spirit, and caring heart made every gathering brighter. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel like family and always put the needs of others before her own.
Her faith in God was the foundation of her life. Even throughout her 21-year battle with cancer, she never lost hope or her trust in God’s plan. Her unwavering faith inspired everyone around her and gave her the strength to face each day with courage and dignity. She was also a devoted member of her weekly prayer group, where she faithfully gathered with her close friends in fellowship, prayer, and encouragement. Those cherished friendships and her steadfast devotion to God were among the greatest blessings of her life.
At the age of 55, Loreta retired to pursue one of her greatest passions—traveling the world. She fulfilled a lifelong dream by visiting more than 30 countries, embracing different cultures, creating lasting friendships, and collecting memories that she treasured deeply. Traveling brought her immense happiness and reflected her adventurous and joyful spirit.
Family meant everything to Loreta. She was a devoted daughter, a loving sister, and a second mother to her younger siblings, always offering guidance, encouragement, unconditional love, and support. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives, and her legacy of compassion will live on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Loreta is lovingly survived by her parents, Violanta Dulay and Pablo Dulay; her brothers, Federico Dulay, Joel Dulay, Johnny Dulay, and Rick Dulay; her sisters, Chari Macaraeg, Ditas Martinez, and Cynthia Agbayani; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members throughout the United States and the Philippines, and countless dear friends whose lives she touched over the years.
Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Loreta’s suffering has ended and that she has been welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. While we grieve her absence, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and know that she is now free from pain, embraced by God’s everlasting love.
Loreta taught us to embrace life with joy, treasure our loved ones, trust in God through every trial, and never stop exploring the beauty of the world. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will remain with us forever.
Loreta is now resting in eternal peace.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
