Lola Dell Correa

Lola “Wink” Correa (née Dart) passed away on January 10, 2023 at the age of 77.

Born May 3, 1945 in Colusa California, she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob), when she was 13 and he was 14.  They spent 64 years together (59 years married) marrying June 15, 1963, just one week after her high school graduation.

Everyone who knew Wink knew that she was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, auntie, sister, and friend.  She treasured every moment spent with her family, and took care of many other children during her lifetime, under the title of “babysitter” but truly as a second mom to them.

Wink was a quietly brilliant woman with a playful wit. She adored all animals and was loved by them in return – caring for dozens of pets and countless wild creatures throughout her life. Her well worn bird book was testament to her dedication and passion. She was fiercely competitive at cards, and always played up the competition to make everyone at the table laugh.

Wink truly enjoyed spending quality time with her children, Gina (John Schlensker), Robert “Bo”, Debi, and Andrew “Boomer”; her grandchildren, Amanda, Joshua, Andrew, Jacob and Anthony; granddaughters-in law Cierra (Andrew) and Martha (Joshua), and her great-grandchildren Aneira and Tryg who she proudly doted over and spoiled every chance she got. She spent countless hours creating cross-stitched blankets for the babies being born into the family, playing solitaire, and fussing over the love of her life, Bob.

Gathered to welcome Wink as she crossed into heaven were her father, Harry Arthur Dart, her mother, Frances Delores Dart (Buell), her stepfather Albert McAllister, her brothers Harry and Lewis, her father-in-law Jose Maria Correa, her mother-in-law Fructosa Inez Correa (Haro), and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and all who passed before her who knew her.
