Lindsey Jean Da Cruz

Lindsey Jean Da Cruz (Gier) passed away on February 25th, 2024, at the age of 73. She was born on October 29, 1950, in Sacramento, CA, to her parents Adrienne M. Constant (Gier) and Glen David Gier and was the daughter of Roy M. Constant. Lindsey was a loving mother to three children, Allison Weaver (Lukanich), Brian, and Steven Weaver, and a cherished grandmother to Sydney, Joshua, Lexie, Cameron, and Dylan. She was a dear friend, a dedicated wife to Albert DaCruz, a sister to twin brothers Terry and Barry Gier, and a beloved aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, and stepfamily members.

Lindsey will be remembered for her originality, charisma, humor, loyalty, and strength. She loved deeply, was fiercely devoted to her family, and always sought the best in life. Lindsey’s love for her family, friends, and role as a grandmother was unmatched. Despite battling Leiomyosarcoma for 12.5 years, she remained true to herself and her loved ones, leaving an irreplaceable mark on all those who knew her.

We invite you to Lindsey’s memorial service to honor her life: March 16th at 12 PM at St. Mary Cemetery & Funeral Center – Holy Family Shrine Pavilion East (6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA 95820). The service will be conducted in her favorite color, purple, so flowers and attire in this shade are encouraged. Following the service, a reception will take place from 1-4 PM at St. Mary’s Funeral Center.

If you choose to donate, please make to the Leiomyosarcoma Direct Research Foundation in Lindsey’s memory.

Her love and spirit will forever live on in our hearts, and though we will miss her deeply, she will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace.
