Linda Lee Haxel

Linda Lee Haxel was born on June 11, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois and passed into the hands of God on July 16, 2025.

She was the beloved Sister of Marcia Korpalski, Bonita Atanus, and Phillip Haxel.

She loved music, reading, the outdoors, and travel. Her kindness and extreme generosity touched all creatures great and small as well as the under privileged. Her warmth, tenderness, and caring not only touched her family but to many friends and all she came into contact with.

She loved Chicago and her upbringing there. She never forgot her love of Chicago food favorites — pizza, Vienna hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches or smoked clubs.

At her passing, she is survived by her sister Bonita Atanus, brother Phillip Haxel, brothers-in-law Walter Korpalski and Ronald Atanus, nieces Melissa Korpalski and Samantha O’Krepky, grand-nieces Violette Gregory, Audrey O’Krepky, Coralie O’Krepky, and grand-nephew Cooper O’Krepky.
