It is with profound sadness and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Julia Paz, aged 101, on May 21, 2024. Julia, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, wisdom, and resilience.

We take solace in knowing that Julia has been reunited with her mother, Matilde Melchor and her daughter Yolanda Ladd . Her forever grateful family will continue her legacy as she is survived first and foremost by her 6 other children, Carlos, Gloria “Julia”, Nico, Vangie “Julia^, Joey, Yvette. Her love and everlasting kindness made great impacts on her 27 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.  Julia was born on December 8th, 1922, in the town of  Ameca Jalisco in Mexico, and she was a nurturing mother who instilled the values of integrity, empathy, and perseverance within her family for generations. She was best known for her boundless energy, passion for dancing, zest for life and world class Quilting.

Julia’s wisdom, gleaned from over a century of life experiences, was a beacon of guidance and comfort to all who knew her. She had an incredible ability to make everyone feel special, remembered for her gentle smile, sharp mind, and the twinkle in her eye that revealed a spirit forever young at heart. Julia’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and unwavering faith. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary life she lived and the countless hearts she touched. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered, her spirit living on in the wisdom and compassion she inspired in all of us.

A funeral service will be held on June 10, 2024, at St. Mary’s Church. Rest in peace, dear Julia. Your life was a blessing, and your memory will live on forever.
