Juanita Cayanan Macadaeg

Juanita Cayanan Macadaeg has entered eternal life on Palm Sunday, March 29th, 2026, at the age of 96. She passed peacefully and was surrounded by family members at home. She has now joined her husband, Ernesto Libed Macadaeg, who left this Earth on May 24th, 2013.
Juanita, known to most as “Ning”, was born in Palomar, Tondo in Manila, Philippines on June 30th, 1929, daughter of Fabian Sagum Cayanan and Fortunata Mendoza Pamintuan. Ning lost her parents at an early age and was raised by relatives in San Fernando, Pampanga.
Ning was a woman who devoted her life to her family. Married at the young age of 19 years old, she spent decades as a devoted loving wife, a mother of eight children, seven daughters (of whom the eldest daughter preceded Ning’s death) and one son— a grandmother to 21, many who were fortunate to grow up under her care, and great grandmother to 19. Ning was a strong and proud military wife, a faithful Catholic, and the heart of her family. She dedicated her life to raising her children while her husband was often away serving in the military. She carried the responsibilities of both parents with strength and determination, building a home centered on strong family values, faith, and love. Meals were always ready on time, her home was kept clean and in order, and family gatherings were an important part of her life. Ning was strict and firm but always loving. She had her own way of guiding her children, and through it, she raised them to be respectful, independent, responsible, and hardworking.

As a Kapampangan and a homemaker, she showed her love in the sincerest way she knew—through cooking. She nourished her family not only with food, but with presence, patience, and quiet strength. Her home was a place of comfort, and her life was an example of steady, selfless love. In her later years, seeing grandchildren and great-grandchildren always brought a smile to her face.
Ning lived a simple but long and full life and was loved by many. Her impact was profound. She leaves behind a large, loving family who carry her memory in the traditions, values, and moments she helped create. She will always be remembered, deeply missed, and forever a part of us.
Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing at Calvary Funeral Center on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, from 5pm-8pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Calvary Chapel on Thursday, April 16th, 2026, at 10am.
