Joyce Perich

March 12, 1936 – March 1, 2025

It is with saddened hearts we share Joyce Perich passed away on March 1, 2025 at the age of 88. She was born to the late William Fitzgerald and Henrietta Breetzke Fitzgerald on March 12, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. Joyce graduated from Hirsch High School in 1954. She moved to California in 1959 with her late husband, Hubert Plane. She and her family moved to Sacramento in 1962 and she began her 40-year career as an Office Manager for the late Dr. Frank Schiro.

She remarried the late Mark “Mike” Perich in 1974 and they traveled the world and to sporting events together. She enjoyed decorating her house, working in her garden, and cooking for friends and family. She also loved her dogs and always had a canine companion by her side.

Joyce is survived by her sister, Margo Fitzgerald (sister-in-law Susan Mesenbrink), her two children Tami Richards (son-in- law Andy Richards) and Wendy Plane, and her two grandchildren Shannon Richards and Colin Richards. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Eva Perich (and her four children) and her godchildren.

A private service will be held on April 4 at St. Mary Cemetery & Funeral Center.
