John Robert Snow

John R. Snow, 81, born July, 7, 1941, died May 31, 2023, at his home in Carmichael, California.

John was born to Wilber C. Snow and Mary Kathleen (nee Scott) in Seattle, Washington. He was raised in Capitol Hill neighborhood, graduated from Garfield High in 1959 and soon after Joined the Navy. He settled in the San Francisco, California where he worked for PanAm Airlines as a radio mechanic and continued as a Naval Reservist. He started his engineering career for the State of California at the Division of Highways and later moved on to the City and County of San Francisco.  He was an amateur radio enthusiast (N6AMZ) and participated in both trainings and community emergency response support, including during the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake response efforts.

He is survived by his wife Patricia J. (nee McKay), daughters Ann F. and Mary K., grandson Ryan J., sister-in-law Susan A. Stidhams (nee McKay), son-in-law David Palmer, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial to be held Saturday July 1, 2023 at 12 PM, Calvary Funeral Center, 7100 Verner Avenue, Citrus Heights, CA 95621.
