Jesus “Chuy” Heredia

Jesus “Chuy” Heredia, known as “Jesse” to some, was a man of entrepreneurship. There was no task or challenge that was too hard or beyond his reach for him to take on and succeed in. He saw opportunity where others did not and excelled in turning hard work into success. Jesus Manuel Heredia, 41, of Auburn CA, died suddenly on October 27, 2023.

He was born in Glendale CA, to Consuelo and Joseph Heredia on August 1, 1982. ”Chuy” as he was immediately nicknamed, moved with the family to Sacramento at age 9, when he attended St. Peter’s Elementary school where he made many lifelong friendships that carry on to this day.  He earned many titles in his life, among them: Son, Brother, Friend, Father, and the one you can always count on.

“Chuy” will always be remembered for his loud and hearty laugh and the way that he always loved to debate and draw out a discussion. He loved nicknames and if he gave you one, it was yours for life. He brought a lot of joy and memorable moments to our lives, and we will cherish the memories of “Chuy” every day. He helped so many without ever expecting anything in return or recognition for what he had done. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him and in every life he touched.

Jesus was a family man whose biggest achievement and dedication was being a father and giving his 4 kids lots of love and attention. He prided himself in giving them a great life and was always pushing them to succeed in all they do. He lives on in them.

Jesus was preceded in death by bother Alejandro Heredia in 1992 and is survived by his parents: Joseph and Consuelo Heredia, Siblings: Beatrice Sparks, Francisco Heredia and Amparo Heredia, along with his spouse of 17 years, Rosario Chavez, and their children Robert Gonzalez Jr., Joseph Heredia, Jazlene Heredia and Roman Heredia.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 2, 2023 from 1pm to 3pm followed by a reception and celebration of life 3pm to 6pm, all at St Mary Cemetery & Funeral Center, 6509 Fruitridge Rd, Sacramento, CA 95820.
