Jerry Wayne Goetzman

May 7, 1944 – February 5, 2025

Born on May 7, 1944 in Olivia, Minnesota has peacefully passed away on February 5, 2025 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Sandy Goetzman for 53 years. They traveled the world together on many cruises to Europe, Alaska and Mexico.  He is survived by his daughter Kory Goetzman, his beloved sister-in-law Karen Benedetti and husband Joe, and his sister-in-law Paula Poce and brother-in-law Jerry Virzi.

He was predeceased by his sister Judy Jensen and by his brother Dan Goetzman (Sharon). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Jerry worked at SMUD (Sacramento Municipal Utilities District) for 34 years. He spent many years in customer service and long range planning.  Jerry loved reading, having fun, playing bingo and playing the slot machines at Jackson and Lake Tahoe. In his later years, he enjoyed playing cards with his new friends at Regency Place.  He will be missed by many.

Visitation will be at 5pm on March 11, 2025 at St. Mary’s Funeral Center, 6509 Fruitridge Road,Sacramento CA  95820. It will be followed by a recital of the Rosary. Viewing will be again at St. Mary’s Funeral Center on March 12 at 9am, with services at 10am followed by 11am committal services.
