Jacqueline Brown-Moore

Jacqueline (Jaci) Brown-Moore, 70, of Sacramento, CA, sadly passed away in her home on March 3, 2025. Born in San Marcos, TX, Jaci was the third child (of six) and eldest daughter of the late Herbert Brown and Pearlie (Cook) Brown.

After a 20+ year career culminating as a manager for the State of California’s Department of Motor Vehicles, Jaci met Thomas (Greg) Moore. They married in 2014 and spent time traveling, meeting new people and visiting family and friends.

Jaci loved cooking and was an excellent cook! Interesting recipes could be found in every room of her house. She also was known for her green thumb. She could grow anything and took great care of her plants – she even turned one room of her house into a “plant room”. She enjoyed life and lit up a room with her bright smile and infectious laugh.

Jaci – a beloved mom, grandma, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend – is survived by and will be missed by her daughter, Kim Alston from her first marriage to Keith Alston (deceased); granddaughter, Sidney; brothers Allen (Mary) and Anthony (Helen) Brown; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.

Jaci was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Kenneth Brown; sister, Patricia Brown; parents, Herbert and Pearl Brown; and her husband Greg Moore.

A short graveside ceremony will be held at St Mary’s Cemetery & Funeral Center, 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA, 95820, on March 20, 2025 at 2pm to celebrate her life and honor her memory.
