Hermina Louise Chiesa

Hermina Louise Chiesa, 108, passed away peacefully at home in Carmichael, California on September 8, 2024.  She was born July 25, 1916 in East Nicolaus, CA.  Member of Our Lady of Assumption Church (Carmichael) since 1969. Beloved mother of son, Curtis and of daughter, Laurene.  Also survived by her loving niece Charlene (John) Moorhead and their children Peter, Raymond and Elizabeth, loving nephew Eric (Debra) Herbst and nephews Frank Peter and by marriage, Gary Mansch (Sharon).  She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Leon Chiesa, and their infant son Dennis.

Hermina was known for her infinite love and devotion to her entire family.  She will always be remembered for her mischievous sense of humor, her kindness, grace, forever smile, twinkle in her eyes and the love she shared with all who knew her.

Rosary to be held Thursday September 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery and Funeral Center Chapel in Citrus Heights immediately followed by visitation at 11:30 a.m., Mass of Christian burial at 12:00 p.m. and internment at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Hermina’s memory may be made to St. Jude Shrine at 512 W. Saratoga St., Baltimore, MD 21201 or the Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration at 31970 State Highway P, Clyde, MO 64432.
