Harold Gene Taliaferro

Harold was born on August 10, 1954 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Robert H. Taliaferro and Virginia Lou (Riddles) Taliaferro.  He is a proud veteran of the US Navy.  He was a Senior Engineering Technician at the firm of Wallace-Kuhl & Associates for 33 years.  He retired in 2020 to enjoy travelling, RV’ing and camping.  He loved sports, especially the 49ers and the SF Giants.  He has a vast trading card collection that was a great source of pride for him.

In 2000, Harold married Cecilia Resterio Lopez in the Philippines and they greatly enjoyed their 23 years together.  He passed away on September 7, 2023 at Sutter Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.

Harold is survived by his wife, Cecilia, as well as his two daughters, Michelle Rose and husband Dillon of Huntington Beach and Kele Marie.  He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Isiah and Reece, his brother Rick and wife Rhonda, his sister Brenda and husband David and his sister Carol of Rhome, TX.  He will also be greatly missed by his beloved dog, Bochy.

A funeral Mass will be held for Harold at St. John Vianney Catholic church in Rancho Cordova on Friday, September 29 at 10am.  At a later time, he will be laid to rest in Aurora Cemetery in Texas.
