Gloria Ana Marquez

Gloria Ana Marquez, 83, born in Azusa, CA, passed peacefully on June 26, 2024. Beloved wife of the late
Louis Marquez, and Loving mother to Elizabeth (Greg) Sinclair and Steven (Ana) Marquez. Survived by
her brothers and sisters: Clara Tafoya, Peter Davalos, Dolores Nuño, Robert Davalos, and Molly Fejaran.
Preceded in death by sister and brother, Theresa Campos and William Davalos. Devoted Grandma/Nana
to Matt (Kellie) Marquez, Anjelica (Ryan) Newbury, Megan (Kyle) Barisone, Karina Marquez, Vincent
Sinclair, and Alex Marquez. Gloria got her BS degree at CSUS in Business Administration, in 1982. She
retired from the State after 34 years, and worked in the Tobacco Control Section (13yrs) as a Contract
Manager. She was so proud that her department educated and provided awareness of the dangers of
smoking in CA. She was a member of the El Dorado Hills Newcomers Club, and enjoyed luncheons and
card games. She found joy spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, she looked
forward to the family Pismo Beach vacations, went to the grandchildren’s sports and plays, helped with
many School and Church fundraisers. She loved watching all sports, especially if Tom Brady was playing.
Gloria enjoyed playing bunco, cards and poker with family and friends. We will miss her loving support
and positive attitude, and especially her beautiful smile. Family and friends are invited to attend services
on Saturday, July 27 th at Calvary Cemetery, 7100 Verner Ave., Citrus Heights at 10am: Family Visitation,
11am: Mass, and Noon: the committal at the gravesite. Flowers welcomed to be delivered to Calvary
Cemetery on Sat., July 27 th at 9am.
