Fred Rodacker, born August 1951 in Bradley, California, passed into the arms of the Heavenly Father October 26, 2023 at the age of 72. He was an amazing husband, father, brother and friend.
Fred graduated from Bella Vista High School in 1969. He enjoyed playing the guitar, piano and loved everything musical. He retired as a Master Sargent after 20 years in the United States Air Force. After his first retirement he held multiple jobs. He worked for the Washington School District, built light rail cars, worked at the Commissary and was an electrician at Sylvania Lighting. He retired secondly from SMUD after working as a security guard for 24 years.
He traveled the world and made special connections with everyone that he met. He was a kind and loving partner to his wife Michelle as well as an amazing father to Rachelle, Tracy and Kelly also an unforgettable grandparent to his eight grandchildren Skyla, Breyanna, Juan, Isabel, Xavier, Fernando, Hayley and Katelyn . Our father’s favorite thing was to call people was “Jack”. He was always quick with a joke and those facial expressions – that giggle! He loved to let you know that he was thinking of you by stopping by for a quick visit.
Fred’s legacy of service and his love for family and friends will forever be remembered.
Family and Friends may visit on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and attend a Vigil Service at 6:30 pm at Calvary Funeral Center, 7100 Verner Avenue, Citrus Heights. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 10:00 am followed by Military Honors at Calvary Funeral Center. A private burial will be held at Ogburn Inwood Cemetery in Shingletown, CA.
