Florida Villote Cantor

Florida Villote Cantor (Aida/Edda), lovingly called “Mama” by her family, joined her husband, Hilarion Mora Cantor, our beloved “Papa,” in heaven at the age of 92 on March 25, 2026.

Born on May 8, 1933, in the Philippines, Mama was the youngest of eight, full of humor, love, and generosity. Her presence comforted those around her, her laughter lifted spirits, and her kindness touched everyone she met. She had a remarkable way of making people feel at home, with a heart always open and welcoming.

She attended Emilio Jacinto High School, where she met her lifelong love, marrying him on February 22, 1959. Together, they built a home filled with faith, laughter, and cherished memories.

Mama was blessed with seven children—Hilda (Phil), Tina, Larry (Elsa), Dahil (Patrick), Reyna (Jobill), Bong, and Leng—and she lovingly embraced Tes (Cris) as one of her own. Her family expanded to include 36 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Family was her greatest joy, and she ensured that each one felt valued, loved, and cared for.

Between raising her children, she worked in the semiconductor industry for 27 years, retiring in May 2000. She also shared a love for bowling with Papa and enjoyed many hobbies such as gardening, crocheting, sewing and ceramics, just to name a few.

A devoted Catholic, Mama’s faith shaped her life, giving her strength, peace, and a model of love and devotion for her family. She also cherished life’s simple joys — storytelling, family meals, travelling, handmaidens’ meetings, and trips to Thunder Valley, which brought her laughter and happiness.

While we grieve her loss, we take comfort knowing Mama is reunited with Papa, side by side in heaven. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the countless lives she touched with her love, generosity, and warmth.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Viewing on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm at Calvary Funeral Center, 7100 Verner Avenue, Citrus Heights.
