Filipinas Ong

Filipinas C. Ong, born on December 16, 1940, in Olongapo, Philippines, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, in Roseville, California. She was 84 years old.

Filipinas moved to Sacramento, California, where she resided for 62 years and built a life filled with love and cherished memories. She was married to Frank F. Ong for 39 years until his passing on September 16, 2001. Filipinas found joy in singing, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Leilani Ong-Jimenez and husband Jaime Jimenez of Sacramento; her son Edwin Ong Sr. and wife Maria Ong of Rancho Cordova; and her six grandchildren: Meilani, Elisabeth, Elisha, Michael, Edwin Jr., and Brenden.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Funeral Center, located at 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA 95820.

Filipinas will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
