Elizabeth “Betty” Gutierrez

September 24, 1931 – January 28, 2025

Betty Gutierrez, 93, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025.  She was the wife of Manuel (Manny) Gutierrez. They shared 76 years of marriage together.  Betty was born in Powell, WY.  She was a homemaker providing care for the family and household which  included child care, cooking, cleaning, organizing, and making plans for the entire household.

She will be remembered for being a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother as well as her humbleness, kindness, beautiful quiet personality and her delicious home cooked meals. She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Murray, brother Kie Bustos, grandchildren Kimberly Carpenter, Renee, Louie Jr. and Felicia Rosales and 11 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Manuel, daughter Cheryl and son Jim Gutierrez.

Services will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 9am-12 noon at St. Mary’s Cemetery and Funeral Center, 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA 95820.  The viewing will take place from 9am-10am, service from 10am-11am and burial thereafter.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude Research Children’s Hospital.
