Doreen Anne Lukowicz

Doreen Anne Lukowicz, a lady overflowing with kindness and love, passed away September 19, 2023 in her home at the age of 79. Raised in Wisconsin on a farm by Henry and Stella Dobrowolski with siblings Sandra, Brenda (deceased), and Robert, Doreen grew up strong and capable. Doreen did leave Wisconsin for sunny California to raise her family with Stanley J. Lukowicz, II to whom she was married for 51 years. Doreen worked as a secretary and bookkeeper, and is better known for her family and Faith commitment. Doreen is remembered for her kindness, her warm hugs, her love of family, her devotion to Mary and the Catholic Faith. Doreen overcame many adversities and did not falter in her love nor her Faith. Doreen and Stanley enjoyed traveling the world with friends and celebrating life with family and extended family. Doreen was a devoted mother to Kelly Anne, Kerry May (deceased), James Francis, Pamela Marie, Stanley Joseph, III, Kristine Elizabeth, Teresa Michelle, and Daniel Robert, a proud grandmother to Meagan, Zachary, Audrey, Lauren, Lillian, Jamie, Luka, Sebastian, London, Natalia, Scarlett, and great grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, friend, wife, confidant to too many to name. Doreen proved to be an example of a kind of love that is not seen often, which, I am sure paved the way for the peace she has today, and it is this capacity for love that can live on for those she leaves behind.

The Mass and reception will be at the Calvary Cemetery and Funeral Center, 7101 Verner Avenue, Citrus Heights, CA 95621 on Saturday, October 14th, 2023. Mass begins at 1:00 p.m. and the reception is in the adjacent hall following the mass. Rosary, Viewing, and Burial are family and close friends only please. Contributions to the Society for the Blind or the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance are appreciated in place of flowers. If offering flowers, please send to the Calvary Cemetery and Funeral Center.
