Heaven’s Gates
Heaven’s gates have opened wide and one dear soul has stepped inside.
The trumpets sound when he steps in, the heaven’s glow to welcome him.
His face shines bright from God’s great glory, he’s now at-peace when he tells his story.
He feels the warmth of God’s embrace and feels His touch upon his face.
There is no pain or sorrow there, just God’s great love for all to share.
The ones he leaves behind today, are left to try and find their way.
Their hearts are filled with such great sorrow, how do they see past each tomorrow?
There are no words to bring relief, to help restore them from their grief.
The comfort comes from God above, He covers them with His perfect love.
He’ll walk each day and nighttime too and hold their hands to get them through.
He sends His angels to guide their way, to help them through another day.
The walk will be from day-to -day, by their side is where He’ll stay.
He waits for them in all His glory, for that sweet day, when they tell their story.
Heaven’s gates will open wide, another soul will step inside.
