Dolores Isabelle Kellas/Dutil

DOLORES ISABELLE KELLAS/DUTIL WAS BORN ON APRIL 28, 1929 IN SAN FRANCISCO. SHE WAS BLESSED WITH THREE CHILDREN: DONNIE, DENISE AND MICHAEL, TWO GRANDCHILDREN MICHELLE AND MIKEY AND THREE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. SHE WAS AN EXTRAORDINARY WOMAN WHOSE LIFE WAS FILLED WITH UNWAVERING FAITH, COURAGE AND GRACE.

DOLORES, A DEDICATED CATHOLIC, COMMITTED HERSELF TO NURTURING HER CHILDREN DURING THEIR CRITICAL FORMATIVE YEARS. IN HER WORKING YEARS, DOLORES BABYSAT, TOOK ON ROLES AS AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, TEACHER’S AIDE AND EVEN PURSUED A REAL ESTATE LICENSE. IN HER MID 40’S DOLORES FOUND HERSELF SINGLE AND DEVELOPED A PASSION FOR BALLROOM DANCING, MASTERING A VARIETY OF DANCE STEPS. HER LOVE FOR DANCING CONTINUED INTO HER MID-80s.

IN 1996 DOLORES MOVED TO HER NEW RETIRMENT HOME IN ROSEVILE TO BE CLOSE TO HER GRANDCHILDREN AND SHE SAW THEM OFTEN. SHE ESPECIALLY LOVED GARDENING WHILE CARING FOR HER ASSORTMENT OF MORE THAN 20 ROSE VARIETIES. IMMERSED IN COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES, SHE WAS TALENTED IN CERAMIC DOLL-MAKING, PAINTING, ART CLASSES, BALLROOM AND TAP DANCING, AND PLAYING BRIDGE, AND JOINED A SINGING GROUP WHILE FOSTERING NUMEROUS FRIENDSHIPS.

FOR 10 YEARS DOLORES COMMITTED HERSELF TO HOSPICE VOLUNTEERING, DERIVING FULFILLMENT FROM OFFERING COMPASSIONATE CARE TO THE SICK.

In 2014, during a challenging time of cognitive decline, Dolores moved to San Mateo County to be closer to her daughter, Denise. Confident in Denise’s ability to provide reliable comfort and assistance, Dolores remained steadfast. DOLORES FACED THE PROGRESSION OF DEMENTIA, YET SHE REMAINED STEADFAST, HER SPIRIT SHINING BRIGHTLY. EACH DAY, SHE EMBRACED LIFE WITH DETERMINATION AND A SMILE THAT RADIATED LOVE, A TESTAMENT TO HER RESOLUTE SPIRIT.

FOR 10 YEARS, DENISE LOVINGLY EMBRACED THE CHALLENGING RESPONSIBILITY OF CARING FOR HER DEAR MOTHER’S NEEDS, AND TOGETHER THEY SHARED NUMEROUS BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES. DOLORES CHERISHED ATTENDING SUNDAY MASS, WHERE SHE FOUND PROFOUND PEACE IN PRAYER. SHE ALSO HAD A SPECIAL LOVE FOR WATCHING AND INTERACTING WITH CHILDREN AND BABIES, TAKING GREAT JOY IN THEIR PLAYFUL NATURE.

DENISE DEEPLY MISSES SEEING HER MOM, YET FINDS PEACE IN KNOWING THAT SHE IS IN HEAVEN EMBRACING EVERLASTING ETERNAL HAPPINESS. MAY DOLORES REST IN PEACE.
