David Adrian Monnat

May 26, 1960 – February 20, 2025

David Adrian Monnat, 64, loving husband and father passed away suddenly on February 20, 2025.  David was born on May 26^th, 1960 in Wichita, Kansas to Adrian and Margaret (Leahy) Monnat.  He graduated from Kapaun Mt. Carmel HS in 1978 and, a forever Shocker fan, from Wichita State University in 1985.  A lifelong learner, David later completed two advanced degrees in business from St. Mary’s College, Moraga.  David was a CPA and worked in telecom and finance, both globally and locally, most recently as an auditor for the State of California.  While an astute businessman, David’s true passions were his family and faith.  He married the love of his life, Regina Berg in 1993 and together they raised two beautiful children, Mary Kate and Luke.  David was active in parish life at Holy Spirit church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  His greatest love was his family.  He cherished being a brother, husband, father, brother-in-law and trusted uncle to his extended family. David never knew a stranger.  He dearly loved people and let them know it.  He was also a faithful friend to many.  He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Nancy Greever.  He is survived by his wife, Regina, and children Mary Kate and Luke of Sacramento, and siblings Daniel (Grace X. Wu-Monnat), Frances (Loyd) Bishop of Wichita, KS and Mary (Steve Slater) Monnat of Portland, OR and his many nieces and nephews.
