Daniel Ortega

A native to Sacramento, CA. Daniel was born on Jan 4, 1934 and passed away at the age of at on the evening of April 10, 2025

Daniel was proceeded in death by two of his sons, Raoul and Carlos Ortega. He is survived by their children, Sandra Watanabe, Daniel Ortega Jr., Martin Ortega, Mario Ortega, Alfonso Ortega, Antoinette Ortega, Jack Ortega, Caesar Ortega. Daniel is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Daniel worked for the Sacramento County as a Senior Highway Maintenance Worker for 35 years before retiring, He was a devout Father, Husband and Catholic, who took pride in living a simple life.

He enjoyed the nature of the green wilderness up in mountains. And loved the beauty of the stars at night, where he could hear the breeze through the redwood trees. He loved being around family and saw nothing but the best in people.

The Ortegas’ invites all family and friends to the order of services that will be held at St Mary’s Cemetery

Beginning at 9am for visitation, 930am rosary, 10am mass and 11am for committal. The reception following after services will be from 12pm – 3pm.
