Carolyn Elizabeth Stallworth

Carolyn Elizabeth Stallworth, born November 22, 1943, departed this life July 9, 2023. Carolyn was a minister at True Praise and Worship. She was a school bus driver for thirty-five years and touched the lives of many children in her hometown of Mobile, Alabama. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, wife and grandmother. She had a deep love for cooking and enjoying time with her family. Her zest for life was reflected in her enthusiasm and joyful personality. She lived her best life to the fullest when surrounded by her children.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, David Coleman Sr., as well as her parents, Reverend Norman and Rebecca Dorsey, her sister, Mose Dean Jackson, her daughter, Shakira Nicole Stallworth-Barnes, and her grandson, Demetrius Aduane Lewis.

Carolyn is survived in death by her two daughters, Metissa Leach and Sabrina Ratkowski, as well as her grandchildren, Chaitra Dameka Lewis, Silencio Malik Ratkowski, Servante V.F. Lewis, Serena Iman Ratkowski, Israel Akira Stallworth-Barnes, San Juan Stallworth, Myron Barnes Jr., and great-grandson, Nolan Barnes.

Carolyn also leaves to cherish her memory three brothers, George T. Dorsey, Reverend Harvey Dorsey, and Efhraim Dorsey, as well as her sister, Jeanne Gardner, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
