Barbara L. Loewen

Barbara L. Loewen was born in San Diego, California on February 17, 1935, and passed away in Sacramento on March 25, 2026, at age 91. She spent nearly her entire life in Sacramento, graduated from Grant Union High School in 1952, and married John Loewen, her high school sweetheart, in 1955, sharing 62 years together. Barbara loved traveling to Canada and California’s coast. Mendocino and Carmel were like second homes to her. She enjoyed raising West Highland White Terriers and belonged to the San Francisco Bay West Highland Terrier Club. She is survived by her children Scott, Mark, and Linda Langhout and their spouses, as well as 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She will be dearly missed.

Services will be held at the Resurrection Chapel at Calvary Cemetery & Funeral Center on April 14, 2026

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the Committal at 11:30 AM

A reception will take place at Calvary from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
