Arthur Joseph Horton

Arthur Joseph Horton passed away peacefully on 7/6/25.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Nancy; son Leo (Gay), Daughters Joanie & Laurie (Greg).   He lived his younger years in Jackson, CA and moved to Sacramento in the mid 50’s where he met, married Nancy & raised their family.  He worked as a firefighter and engineer for Sacramento City Fire Department and retired in 1991 with 28 years of dedicated service.

Art was a loving grandfather, (affectionately known as Grumpy) to Nick (Shannon), Allie (Nicole), Crystal, Tiffany (Aaron), Brittany & Rico (Dorida) and great grandfather to Skylar, Audrey, AJ, Emmett, Theo, Kash & Baker.

The Services for Arthur are as follows: Funeral Service is on Tuesday 7/22 at 1pm and Committal at 2pm at St. Mary Cemetery & Funeral Center, Sacramento, CA.
