Annabelle May Jensen

Annabelle May Jensen, lovingly known as “Ana,” entered eternal rest on July 1, 2026, at the age of 64. A devoted mother, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of strength, faith, and boundless love that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Born in Quezon City, Philippines, on May 3, 1962, to Paz-Maria Lumicao Lozano and Victoriano Caringal Arias, Ana came to the United States at the age of seven. Adopted by Evangeline and Robert Hallworth, she spent much of her childhood in Sacramento before her adventurous spirit led her to living in places like Hawaii, Guam and Spain. Yet she found her way back to the place she called home and devoted twenty-four years of service to California State University, Sacramento before retiring.

On June 14, 1986, Ana married Jerry Rosholm Jensen. Together they raised their only son, John Robert Jensen, the light of her life. She found great joy in cooking for loved ones, tending her vegetable garden, exploring the outdoors, and traveling to new places. Family trips to Lake Tahoe in winter were among her most treasured memories.

Ana’s life was a testament of resilience, faith, and unconditional love. After losing her mother at a young age, she met life with quiet courage and remarkable grace. She embraced a new family, country, and culture, making America her home with pride and devotion. A devout Catholic and a proud patriot, she lived her faith through kindness, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved.

One of Ana’s greatest gifts was her ability to make others feel seen and cherished. She listened with compassion, celebrated every joy, and stood steadfast through every challenge. Her warmth created a sense of belonging wherever she went, and her presence brought comfort, connection, and strength to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Above all, Ana’s heart belonged to her family. She was a loving mother, an innate caregiver, and a generous spirit who gave of herself freely and without expectation. Her home was a place of welcome where meals were shared, stories exchanged, laughter flowed, and memories were lovingly made.

Ana is survived by her son, brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paz-Maria and Victoriano, and by her adoptive parents, Evangeline and Robert.

Ana, we love you, and you will live in our hearts forever. We know that wherever we are with God, you will be there too.

Funeral services will be held in Sacramento on August 1, 2026, at Saint Francis of Assisi from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at East Lawn Memorial Park from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
